Bucktown Babies by Janine R. Pestel/Blog Tour/Author mini-interview.

Hi! Happy Saturday! Today is my turn on the tour.

Janine R. Pestel is an Author born in Pennsylvania, raised in New Jersey, and now living in Mesa Arizona. In the 1990's, she was a motorsports photographer, along with her husband Joe. Together, they traveled the country photographing NASCAR, Indy Car, and Sports Car races for a publication in Trenton, NJ - Area Auto Racing News. Since moving to Arizona with her husband in 1999, they still photograph motorsports for the same publication in NJ, but now they only photograph races at Phoenix International Raceway. She began writing and self publishing in 2016, and in that year published 4 short stories, 1 compilation of short stories, and 1 novella. She writes science fiction, horror, and supernatural thrillers. Her main series, currently, is the "Father Gunter, Demon Hunter" supernatural thriller series. The first book of the series - "The Bucktown Babies" - was self published on February 1, 2017. In September of 2017, she signed with Creativia Publishing. They re-released "The Bucktown Babies", and her science fiction novella "The Mons Connection" - which, actually, was the first story she had written, back in early 2016. The 2nd book in the "Father Gunter, Demon Hunter" series - "The Raven Flies at Night" is due to be released by her publisher, Creativia, in early December 2017

I had a couple of questions for the lovely Janine.

How did you come into writing about demons or spiritual warfare?

I've always been interested in the Paranormal. The funny thing was, when I began writing in January of 2016, the very first thing I wrote was my science fiction Novella. The mons connection. I really thought science fiction was going to be where I wanted to go. However, as I was writing it, I began to get ideas for other books, which turned out to be short stories, but they were all horror / Supernatural. So I just let it go that way. Finally one night while I was at the gym yes, I go to the gym... Got to stay healthy and fit, I had this idea for a shotgun wielding, zombie hunting done. I'm old the idea over for a while, and it finally morphed into a demon hunting former priest,Father Gunter, Demon Hunter. As it turned out I enjoy writing paranormal more than I did science fiction.

What is your motivation for writing?

That's actually a hard question for me to answer. I get motivation from several places. I love using my imagination. I haven't really done that so much, since I was a child. It feels great to be using it again, and that is one thing that motivates me. I guess my biggest motivation would be the desire to entertain. When my publisher

- creativia publishing, puts my book out there, I love the fact that people read it, and are entertained by. I feel that it helps people to escape from the reality of the chaos we all have in our lives these days.

I have to say, that I did enjoy this book immensely. I love reading about spiritual warfare and demons and I don't feel that there are enough books out there on the genre. I was very excited when I got the opportunity to read this book, because I'm always searching for a good book on Supernatural that doesn't go into fantasy world. I believe that there are many good books out there on the spiritual warfare / demon-hunting genre, and this is definitely one of them! Thank you  so much for letting me be a part of this tour.
